  • $15: 3 Fruit Trees – build an orchard in a drop-in centre vegetable garden.
  • $30: 5 Blankets – a staple of Xhosa and Sotho culture, to keep children snug during bitterly cold winters.
  • $75: 5 School Uniforms – uniforms and shoes for 5 orphans and vulnerable children, compulsory and makes them proud.
  • $150: Emergency Nutrition – 7 months of emergency nutrition supplies (mealie-meal, beans, soup, oil, candles, matches and soap) for a child-headed orphaned family of 5-10 children.
  • $3750: Wilderness Course – 2 week Educo Africa wilderness course for 14 young people affected and infected by HIV/AIDS, to make use of a safe space to grieve and acknowledge the loss of their parents.
  • $15000: Pick-up truck – truck & insurance for transportation to remote villages to monitor children.
  • $188: Garden Tools – tools and fencing for 1 Village Health Worker; Rake, Spade, Pitchfork, Hoe, Sickle, Watering Can, Hose, Poles and chicken wire to keep out the goats.
  • $450: Christmas Party – party with sound system for dancing, a delicious meal and a small gift for 400 orphans & vulnerable children.
  • $750: First Aid Supplies – 1 year of first-aid supplies for a Drop-In Center where a nurse and home based carers treat Orphans & Vulnerable Children and People with AIDS.
  • $1500: Hand Pump – install a hand-pump to avoid women carrying water buckets on their heads.
  • $7500: Permaculture Trainer – Training of local trainers by Food and Trees for Africa in organic gardening with crop rotation, water harvesting & conservation, medicinal herb cultivation and mulching for 20 Village Health Workers and 2 schools.
